Stewart Binnie

He is presently President, formerly chairman, of Aurora Fashions, whose retail brands include the Karen Millen, Coast, Warehouse and Oasis, and was Chairman of Jane Norman. He is the Chairman of the Schroder Ventures Asia Pacific Fund and a member of the Investment Committee of the Schroder Private Equity FofF business and has advised Schroders plc on private equity related issues since 2005. He is also a member of the Industrial Advisory Board of SVG plc and was Chairman of Lipsy prior to its sale to Next plc in 2008.

His former activities include those of Partner of Permira (formerly Schroder Ventures) and Schroder Finance Partners and Chairman of Helicon Publishing Group, Elddis and Cassell plc. He is a member of the board of the Edinburgh International Festival and has a BA in Economics, an MA in International Relations, an MBA from the London Business School and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
